m., Bay District Station 3 and surrounding EMS companies were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle collision near the intersection of Three Notch Road and Forest Park Road in Lexington Park. Initial reports indicated that one individual involved in the incident was unconscious.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered a single vehicle that had veered off the roadway and into an overgrown area. The operator of the vehicle was found unconscious and not breathing. Firefighters immediately commenced life-saving measures while extricating the victim from the vehicle.

The injured adult male was transported to a nearby hospital with CPR actively in progress. A passenger in the vehicle was assessed at the scene and declined further medical transport.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident, with early indications suggesting that a medical emergency may have contributed to the collision. Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, alongside Troopers from the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack, were present at the scene to assist in the ongoing investigation.

The vehicle sustained minor damage and was located approximately 50 feet from the roadway.
