m., a serious multi-vehicle collision occurred on the 22000 block of Three Notch Road, just north of Chancellors Run Road. Bay District's Fire Chief 3, J. Gould, was traveling northbound when he observed a red passenger vehicle traveling in the wrong direction, heading southbound in the northbound lanes.

Despite efforts by Fire Chief Gould and other drivers to avoid the oncoming vehicle, a collision ensued. The wrong-way driver struck a vehicle directly in front of Fire Chief Gould, triggering a chain reaction that ultimately involved four vehicles in total.

Fire Chief Gould immediately exited his vehicle to assess the situation and called for emergency assistance, requesting multiple ambulances and an entrapment response after discovering that one of the drivers was trapped in their vehicle.

Units from Bay District Fire Station 3 and 9, along with several EMS teams, were promptly dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, first responders found four vehicles involved in the crash. The occupant of one vehicle, suffering life-threatening injuries, was successfully extricated by Rescue Engine 92 and Squad 3 personnel. The patient was airlifted to a nearby trauma center for treatment. Fortunately, no other serious injuries were reported.

Fire Chief Gould and his passengers were unharmed, and his vehicle sustained only minor damage. The quick response of local emergency services ensured that all involved were given the care and attention they needed.

The Bay District Fire Department urges drivers to remain vigilant on the roads and to always prioritize safety.
